Job Spec:

  • Be on hand to support the Manager

  • Assist in the coordination of the build and de-rig of events

  • Pay close attention to food being served and ensuring quality and consistency at all times.

  • Follow and apply the processes and operations set up by Young Vegans.

  • Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness.

  • Handling cash, checking stock and maintaining daily paperwork.

  • Communicating with team members and managers.

  • Using your initiative and thinking on your feet.

Person Spec:

  • Confident communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)

  • Ability to think proactively and be calm in sometimes hectic situations

  • Good administrative and IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel)

  • Creativity and ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines

  • Interested in social media

  • Excellent team player

  • A pro-active and can-do attitude, even when working under pressure

  • Holds a valid driving licence

  • Ideally, you’ll already have skills, experience and training in the following areas:
    Food hygiene and health and safety, cash handling and customer service.

  • Most importantly, you’ll be contributing to setting the tone for both your team and for your customers. This means working to make sure the shop/stall is a fun, welcoming and inclusive place.

Part Time: Hours TBC across Monday - Saturday

Pay: Hourly rate dependent on experience. 



We're looking for a full time chef to work in our prep kitchen and be part of our kitchen team, supporting the kitchen manager and producing food for distribution at our sales locations across London and online.

General duties will include :

  • Making pastries, sauces and fillings.

  • Prepping a high volumes of the above

  • Working to kitchen schedules, recipes and instructions

  • Packaging prepped food items ready for delivery to sites

  • Working with kitchen manager to ensure venues are always stocked to suit their needs and additional prep is done to meet this

  • Accepting and checking deliveries from suppliers on a daily basis

  • Ordering from suppliers

  • Working to an extremely high level of food hygiene standards (Level 1 necessary, Level 2 preferred)

Key skills :

  • Confidence in the kitchen/with food and with commercial kitchen equipment

  • Experience and skill in preparing food in high volume

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Hard worker and team player

  • Diligent, with a high level of attention to detail

  • Ability to drive preferred but not essential

Full Time: Monday - Friday- 9am -6pm

Pay: Hourly rate dependent on experience.
